We are still looking for Volunteers for Sherwood Fest ~ The festival is this Saturday, September 24th, from 10am to 6pm at the Sherwood Sports Complex!!  Please! Please! Sign the list to help if you can!  Sherwood Fest is a family-oriented event that combines crafts, kid’s activities, and family entertainment. Local Businesses, organizations, churches, and crafters place booths in the festival. This year we are putting a North Hills Baptist booth in the festival to promote our church and invite families and individuals to come worship with us. If you are interested in helping staff the booth in 1-hour shifts, please sign up in the Welcome Center. If anyone has any questions, please contact Stacy Purdy or Ray Owens.

Do you have Kids or Grandkids that don’t regularly attend Children’s Church or Wednesday nights? We have begun learning our music for this year’s Christmas program. If you want your kiddos to be involved in this year’s play, please have them come on Wednesday nights and Sunday Mornings as much as possible to learn the music and other parts.

Worship Ministry

Our worship ministry is wanting to return to some of the things we did pre-covid. If you are interested in any of these would you please email Michael at

NHBC worship choir. It’s been a long time since we had enough folks to field a choir. We’d like to bring a worship choir back into our sanctuary on a part time basis to start, possibly once or twice per month and for special occasions. If you’d be interested in being a part of our NHBC choir please email with your name, email address, contact phone, and what part you normally sing (melody, alto, soprano, tenor, bass).

Audio/Video/Media: We are also always looking to add folks to our media worship teams to help give our current team members a break now and then, fill in for vacations or when someone is sick and not available. If you have interests in any of these aspects please email and let us know!
